Glasgow High School for Girls
Built as Garnethill School in 1878 at the corner of Buccleuch Street and Garnethill Street, extended in 1898, to Garnet Street, Glasgow High School for Girls was founded in 1894 and converted to housing in the late 1990s. Former pupils include Katharine Whitehorn, journalist and feminist, and Muriel Gray, journalist and broadcaster. It is a Category B listed building. |
