Cultural differences 2
I come from Sudan. During my university and after, I worked as a labourer, building things. I have been living in Glasgow for ten months. I do like Glasgow because it’s a huge and multicultural city. People from different countries live and work here that you can meet them. And the cost of life is really acceptable compare to other parts of the UK. Glasgow is an exciting place to live but the weather can be terrible particularly in autumn and winter. My ambition is to continue to study at university and right now study ESOL at Clyde College and St Aloysius Church so to improve my English first. My culture is different as here. But in my lifetime I have passed through many countries with different cultures – this given me lots of experiences to adapt with any culture. Lastly, I would like to thank all the people who live in Glasgow, especially St Aloysius staff. |
